National assembly member Akil Abdul-Hussein from the United Iraqi Alliance has accused occupation forces of supporting the chaotic security situation in Basra, Iraq's largest southern city. Basra has witnessed assassinations and acts of violence for weeks. United Iraqi Alliance MP Jalal al-Din al-Sageer talked about the terrorism that is overwhelming Diyala province, northeast of Baghdad. He said the occupation forces are staying silent about the killing, violence and terrorism in the province despite its strategic location connecting the north and the middle. He blamed US forces for the deteriorating security in the province, saying they are in charge of security.
