Hassan al-Hindawi, a member of the Independent Electoral Commission in Iraq, announced that 227 (out of 32,000) ballot boxes will be thrown out (for voting irregularities.) He said the results will be announced very soon and that the IECI is not involved in the affairs of the international team (investigating voter fraud allegations.) Meanwhile, Ali al-Tamimi, spokesman of the Maram Movement (a broad coalition protesting the election results and demanding fraud investigations) said the international team discovered many cases of violations and fraud in the elections.
