On the development of the political process, the national accord front's members announced that a Sunni Arab figure should be the president, whereas the Kurdish alliance insisted on their legislative right to hold that post. This comes in a time the UIA fails to settle the issue of its nominee to the premiership, whereas Adnan al-Pachachi decided next Monday to hold the parliament session that was suspended for nearly a month.
