Afghan aid worker killed in Helmand

Anis is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

Gunmen shot dead an Afghan aid worker in a mosque in the southern province of Helmand on January 2, officials said. The assailants escaped on a motorcycle. The dead man had been working for a Bangladeshi aid group in Helmand. Aid workers have been targeted by Taleban rebels in southern and eastern regions on several occasions.
