Aleppo Shopping Complex to Promote Tourism
Syria Media Report, 01-Feb-08
The state-run Syria News Agency reports that the Syria Holding Company has signed a contract worth three billion lira [about 60 million US dollars] for a shopping and housing complex in Aleppo.
The head of the company’s administration, Haithem Jood, said it planned to build a three-star hotel, apartments, supermarkets, restaurants and parking lots on a 300,000 square metre site. The complex will accommodate up to 7,000 vehicles.
Aleppo governor Thamer al-Haja said the new complex would encourage tourism in the city.
