Arab Doctors Head for Kurdistan

Sulaimaniyah Director General of Health Dr Sherko Abdullah said that 150 doctors from central and southern parts of Iraq have come to Suleimaniyah province since the fall of the former regime. Abdullah told Hawlati that the authorities assist the newcomers by covering their rents, helping them set up clinical practices and finding them jobs in public hospitals. The doctors have been coming to Sulaimaniyah because of the bad security in the rest of the country. According to officials, 50,000 people from central and southern Iraq have fled to the Iraqi Kurdistan to escape the conflict.
