Canadian soldiers exchange fire with insurgents in Kandahar

Outlook is an independent daily published in English.

Troops serving with the Canadian contingent exchanged fire with insurgents in the southern province of Kandahar on February 18. Officials said attackers fired three rocket-propelled grenades at a Coalition base in the Gumbad area of Kandahar. The Canadians returned fire, illuminating the area with flares and firing shells from their base. No Canadians were hurt in the clash.
