I do not know why Iraqis continue to debate whether or not to (create a government based on) the elections? All people in the world celebrate their positive participation except here in Iraq; we are rewarded with bullets, death and sorrow because we practice our good deeds. More than 12 million Iraqis took part in the elections to let the whole universe witness that they are adherent to democracy and social peace. Yet we find ourselves lost in the midst of this dilemma. People all over the world feel proud of their relationship with democracy. But we, unlike them, are split by our positions and programs. In the still primitive Arab world, democracy changes to poisonous gifts that paralyse the will of the nation and set the interests of the people to the narrowest level. Instead of being a grace, elections in Iraq and Palestine became a curse. Who will help us and to whom can we declare our problems? Here in Iraq and there in Palestine, we provide good examples of the most useless and inactive democracies.
