Explosives and drugs seized in Paktia

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

Afghan security forces discovered and seized eight anti-personnel mines and 21 kilograms of hashish during a sweep operation in the south-eastern province of Paktia on February 11, officials said. Deputy provincial police chief Colonel Ghulam Nabi Salem said police made a number of arrests, and took the explosives and hashish to the provincial capital for transfer to the appropriate agencies.
