Gunmen attack security post in Helmand

A group of unidentified gunmen attacked a security post in the Marja district of the southern province of Helmand late on December 5, killing three and wounding two, officials said. According to provincial officials, the dead included two civilians. The administrative chief of Marja district, Mullah Juma Gul, confirmed the incident, adding that the attack was carried out by “enemies of the government”. He said the dead included one policeman and two civilians who had come to the security post to try to get some problem resolved.
