Hakim Meets with Maliki, Atia and Abdul Mahdi

Al-Adala is issued daily by the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq.

United Iraqi Alliance leader Abdul Aziz al-Hakim met Monday with vice-president Adil Abdul Mahdi, (incoming) prime minister Jawad al-Maliki and deputy parliament speaker Khalid al-Atia to discuss political developments following the election of the three (top Iraqi leaders.) He emphasized the importance of creating a national unity government (representing all of the major political slates) and improving security and public services. He visited Da'wa party (leader and outgoing prime minister) Ibrahim al-Ja'fari. They discussed the slates' efforts to form the new government.
