The Iraqi national assembly has ratiifed a law on the importing of fuel by the private sector. Dr Bayazid Abdullha, an Iraqi MP, told Kurdistani Nwe that its the first time this has been possible since the oil industry was nationalised in 1972. According to the new law, the private sector is exempt from taxes and customs for two years. And there are severe penalties for those who violate the law. It is believed that this law will solve the fuel crises in Iraq.
