Iraqi Soldiers Kidnapped

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

An interior ministry official said that a group of gunmen attacked a Sadir City checkpoint manned by the army, kidnapping ten soldiers. The officials said the whereabouts of the abducted troops is unknown. This is the first time that members of the armed forces have been kidnapped since April 2003.
