The defence motion stated that the order of preference for the witnesses would be kept under “continuous review” in the light of Krajisnik’s own evidence and any other matters that might arise.
Krajisnik is charged with genocide and eight counts of crimes against humanity, violations of the laws and customs of war for his alleged participation in a joint criminal enterprise designed to remove non-Serbs from Bosnian territory through murder, mass deportation and persecution.
Trial proceedings have been adjourned in order to give the defence time to prepare their client for examination. The accused will begin giving evidence on February 27.
Meanwhile, Judge Orie has ordered that a “housekeeping session” take place on February 23, to deal with outstanding administrative issues relating to the trial.
