Kurdish Alliance Position Consistent

Kurdistan Alliance national assembly member Mahmood Osman said the alliance had not changed its opposition of Ibrahim al-Ja'afari's nomination for the premiership. He said he did not have any knowledge of reports that Ja'afari has been given two days to gain the support of parties that oppose his nomination. He added that situation in Iraq will worsen unless a government is formed that can find solutions to Iraq's problems. He maintained that any foreign involvement with the formation of the government will badly affect public opinion, as it is an Iraqi issue and only Iraqi politicians should deal with it.
