Two people were killed and one wounded in a roadside mine explosion in the southern province of Helmand on November 20. According to the interior ministry, the mine was an improvised device planted by the road in the province’s Sangin district, and was detonated by a remote control as a Toyota Corolla car was driving past. The source said the injured person was taken to the provincial hospital.
