Two Russian nationals were injured in a mine explosion in the border town of Hairatan, in northern Afghanistan, on February 25, a local official said. Mayor Qazi Najibullah said the two Russian embassy staffers were getting out of their car when they hit a mine. Both have been taken to a hospital in Uzbekistan.
