Mullah Omar's cash accounts to be repatriated

Millions of US dollars which the Taleban deposited in banks abroad will soon be repatriated. The head of the Afghan interior ministry’s Interpol branch, Alishah Paktiawal, said there were reliable documents showing that prior to the collapse of the Taleban regime, the movement transferred huge sums of money to foreign banks. During the final days of his rule, [Taleban leader] Mullah Omar instructed the Afghan finance ministry and Da Afghanistan Bank to transfer money to the accounts of trustworthy people abroad. According to Paktiawal, this cash is currently in Pakistani and Malaysian banks.
