Iraqi foreign minister Hooshiar Zeebari said there is a good chance that Iraqi politicians will form a strong government, unlike the formation of the first three governments after Saddam Hussein's regime. Zeebari maintained that the new government is legitimate because it was democratically elected by the people in the December parliamentary elections. This will improve the next government’s ability to hold talks with other states and will improve its local decisions as well. He said the new government will be able to use its strength to cope with Iraq's difficulties.
