United Iraqi Alliance member sheikh Humam Hamoodi affirmed that there is no intention to form an Islamic extremist government in Iraq because the constitution states how the government should be formed. He added that women will not be forced to wear veils (hijab) and that there shouldn't be a law preventing them from wearing veils. Meanwhile, national assembly speaker Hachim al-Hasani said that some calls for the Americans to withdraw were not genuine.
