Sadr: Ready to Defend Syria and Iran

Speaking at a meeting with Syrian president Bashar al-Asaad, Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said he was ready to use “all possible means” to defend Syria and Iran against American pressure. He also met the Syrian foreign minister Farook al-Shara and talked about political developments in Iraq and bilateral ties between the two countries.

Sadr described relations between Iraq and Syria as “good”.
