Reporter Nuraim Ryskulova says many of the blogs covering political affairs are run by Kyrgyz émigrés abroad.



At home, candidates in the July 23 election made use of internet communities and conferencing, but not blogs.



One well-known blog purporting to belong to candidate Nurlan Motuev is in fact a spoof run by a group of young people working from internet cafés. They say they do it for a laugh, not to make a serious political point.
