Masovic said that in 2006 his teams conducted exhumations in 43 municipalities across the country, including 22 mass graves, 13 graves with two or three bodies and 168 individual graves.
He added that the commission last year completed excavation of the largest mass grave discovered in Bosnia after the war. A total of 1,153 bodies were exhumed from a site in Kamenica near the eastern Bosnian town of Zvornik in Republika Srpska.
The victims were Bosnian Muslims from Srebrenica, among 8,000 men and boys executed by Bosnian Serb troops following the fall of the enclave in July 1995.
