Afghan transport minister Enayatullah Qasimi said on November 20 that two foreign advisors working with the Ariana airline, subordinate to his ministry, are paid 2,000 US dollars a day. Talking to reporters on the second day of the government’s “accountability week”, he noted that some other ministries pay as much as 2,500 dollars a day to foreign advisors. The government has asked all ministries and agencies to publicise their performance over the past year during the week November 19 to 25.
