US soldier wounded in Helmand

Arman-e-Milli is an independent daily run by a group of journalists.

An American soldier was wounded in the Girishk district of the southern province of Helmand when an improvised explosive device went off near his convoy on January 15. According to a statement by Coalition forces in Bagram, the convoy was returning from an Afghan National Army compound near Girishk when the incident happened. The wounded soldier has been taken to the military hospital at the Kandahar airbase for treatment, where his condition is reported as stable.
