What God is in Heaven, The Godfather is on Earth

This story is about the friendship between Husein, a imam or Muslim prayer-leader, and two Serb men who helped him rebuild a mosque in Trebinje after the Bosnian war.

The Serbs, called Miro and Bozo, helped with the work despite strong opposition from their community and threats that their children would be thrown out of school and relatives would lose their jobs.

Some months later, as a mark of this exceptional friendship, Miro asked Husein to be godfather to his baby daughter Ana.

"Good men always find one another," Bozo said.

This film was produced by IWPR and Mebius Film to mark the 20th anniversary of the start of war in Bosnia, under IWPR's Programme for the Western Balkans and ICTY, funded by the Norwegian government.
