Woman dies after beating by husband

A woman died in hospital after she was beaten by her husband in the Aqcha district of the northern province of Jowzjan on the night of February 14, officials said. Provincial police chief Fazeluddin Aiar said the woman had been brutally beaten by her husband and died at the district hospital from her serious wounds. He said the husband of the woman is in custody. She is the second woman killed by her husband in the province over the past few months.
