The trial will be held before Trial Chamber I, with judge Almiro Rodrigues presiding, and judges Fouad Riad and Patricia Wald.

Krstic, 51, is charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the laws or customs of war.

In July 1995, the forces of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), under the command and control of Generals Ratko Mladic and Krstic, carried out systematic executions of Bosniak men in the area of Srebrenica, the indictment says.

Former commander of the Drina Corps of the VRS, Krstic, was arrested in an SFOR action on December 2, 1998. He pleaded not guilty before the Tribunal on charges of genocide, extermination, murder, persecution and deportations.
