The World Bank has agreed a 40 million US dollars loan to the Iraqi government to finance the renovation of the Dukan and Darbandikhan power stations in Suleimaniyah province. With the help of the World Bank, lists are currently being drawn up detailing the repairs needed and the equipment necessary to carry out the job, which officials hope will reduce power outages in the area.
