Chenar Khafaf, director of Kurdistan Electricity Ministry, has said that power supplies will be further limited from September 1 in Iraqi Kurdistan. Hoshyar Siwaily, Iraqi Kurdistan’s minister of electricity, is meanwhile in Baghdad to try to increase supplies from the capital to the region. Khafaf said Baghdad had agreed to supply 160 mega watts of energy on a daily basis, but it is currently only half that amount and sometimes just a quarter.
