Oil Minister Husein al-Shahrestani said the ministry has allocated 6 millions litres of fuel to Baghdad to solve the fuel crisis, adding that tankers were supplying residents directly. He admitted that militias and some political parties controlled petrol stations and that there was a substantial shortfall in supplies which could only be remedied if the government increases imports.
