A group of young people suddenly gathers in a nondescript part of town, scanning the ground and walls for some invisible sign.

They are playing Encounter, a team adventure game which has taken young urban residents by storm. Players go from place to place searching for carefully-concealed clues which will lead them to the next point.



Nurlan Abdaliev interviewed young people who see Encounter as a combination of sport and brain exercise.



However, playing at spies might look a bit suspicious to an outsider, so they carry ID and never touch alcohol just in case they have the wrong kind of encounter with a police patrol.
