London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

The minister for women affairs, Fatin Abdul Rahman Mahmood, has asked the ministries of interior, justice, the multi-national forces, and the supreme judicial board to apply human rights principles to women detained in Iraqi jails and to provide them suitable detention facilities. The minister has asked all those concern to speed up investigations against women and free those who are found to be innocent.
