The education ministry has asked Iran to help fund the building of 1000 schools in different parts of Iraq. Designs for the schools have been completed and funds for the project will come from the state budget or outside donors. There are also plans to ensure that stationery and books will be handed out to pupils early in the school year and efforts would be made to address the teacher shortage in remote schools.
