Reporter Nurlan Abdaliev looked into the popularity of pedigree dogs, and found that animals with a complete record of ancestry come at a high price. A puppy with the right certificates can fetch upwards of 300 US dollars.



Dmitry keeps two Alsatians in his apartment. They are well-trained, and each has an impeccable history tracing its ancestors in Germany. But nevertheless they are intimidating animals who would scare off any robber. Dmitry’s neighbour Chinara, who has small children, is scared when she sees the Alsations off the leash.
