Muslic Cleric's Leader Lashes Out at Foreign Forces

The leaders of the Muslims Clerics' Association, Sheikh Harith al-Dhari, has said that although the Iraqi resistance has prevented the “American project” from expanding into neighbouring states, these countries have laid siege to the resistance rather than assisting it. He alleged that most acts of terrorism are committed by the American, Zionist, and British intelligence agencies and by gangs with political backing inside Iraq. He blamed the ongoing violence on the occupying forces, on an Iraqi government he said was controlled by these forces, and on militias associated with the parties represented in government.
