Robbery of Imam al-Kadhim Shrine

Addaawa is a daily paper issued by the Islamic Dawa Party, chaired by Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Ja'afari.

The Shia endowment's media office announced that unidentified individuals stole four gilded silver flowers from the holy shrine of Imam al-Kadhim. Each flower weighed ten grams. The statement by the endowment said the crime was an attempt to abuse the scared shrine. Caretakers for the shrine noticed that one of the gates' locks was broken. Seven guards were taken to the security office for interrogation.
