Talbani: Foreign Forces Are Not Occupiers

President Jalal Talbani showed readiness to meet representatives of the “resistance” if they wanted, but the meeting would not equate to an endorsement of their proposals. At the end of his visit to Cairo, Talbani said in a press conference that foreign forces in Iraq are not occupiers. He said they came to Iraq with the Iraqi government's approval and that Iraq is not in a crisis. He hoped that Iraq would be able to build security forces to maintain security in Iraq. He warned that the withdrawal of foreign forces would lead to disasters in Iraq.
