Bomb blast in Badakhshan

Hewad is a state-run daily published mostly in Pashto.

A bomb went off in the Faizabad city of the north-eastern province of Badakhshan on December 14, but caused no injuries. Provincial police chief Shah Jahan Noori said the bomb was planted by the “enemies of peace and stability” in front of the provincial public health department. The resulting blast broke windows in the health department and in the information, culture and tourism office, and destroyed a car belonging to a foreign aid organisation.
