Cabinet ministers to be confirmed on an individual basis

Islah is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

The members of the Wolesi Jirga, the lower house the Afghan parliament, has decided to confirm cabinet ministers one by one rather than collectively. According to the parliamentary press office, the decision was reached during a February 27 session chaired by Wolesi Jirga speaker Mohammad Younus Qanuni.
