Baghdad neighbourhoods lose power

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz

Baghdad’s al-Karkh neighbourhood has lost all electricity with no hope it will be back on soon. Residents say the ministry of electricity has ignored their complaints. The Saydiya, Shurta, Amel, Heteen, and Bayaa neighbourhoods are also without power, with residents complaining they are living in primitive conditions.
