The people have gained nothing over the last three years as the parties compete over how to kill, to marginalize or to kick out the other from politics. It would be much better for the parties to focus on rebuilding the country and reviving its infrastructure rather than striking at one another. The parties don't care for the interests of the people -- they care about alliances and obtaining nominations to hold (ministerial) posts. We are afraid that another generation will vanish amidst the political conflicts. Iraqi politicians for decades have had the delusion that policy is the best product they can give the people. They do not care for the sufferings of the people but only for those who gave them their voices through the elections or those who are forced to demonstrate on their behalf. We hope that after the government is formed, Iraqi politicians will care for all of the people, not just their parties and supporters.
