Sistani urged to support reconciliation

Al-Sabah is a daily independent publicly owned newspaper.

National security counselor Muwafaq al-Rubaii said that Grand Ayatullah Ali al-Sistani has urged that all the country’s provinces be transferred from US to Iraqi control. Speaking at the ceremony to mark the transfer of Najaf province into Iraqi hands, al-Rubaii said Sistani had been asked to line up with the elected government and to support the national dialogue and reconciliation project.
