Two schools torched in Paktika

Militants have recently set fire to two schools in the south-eastern province of Paktika, officials said on March 27. Provincial governor Mohammad Akram Khepalwak confirmed the incident, saying the school’s building and hundreds of textbooks were destroyed in the fire. He blamed the Taleban for the arson attack. More than 40 schools have been burned down in various parts of the country over the last year.
