Brigadier General Sarhad Qadir, Kirkuk municipality's chief of police, said 21 suspected terrorists had been arrested in Yarimja village in southern Kirkuk. In the operation, police seized four vehicles, 17 AK47s and explosives. In a separate development, security forces in the town Kalar south east of Suleimaniyah arrested five people suspected of having links with the al-Qaeda and theThawrat al-Ishreen extremist groups.
