The Iraqi people prevailed over Iraq's enemies, who tried to ignite a sectarian war. The blasphemers and Saddam's henchmen failed to stop the Iraqi people's march toward freedom and democracy. The Iraqi people united in confronting the terrorists' efforts to kill children and day labourers, and to bomb the scared shrines, mosques, hospitals, markets, churches, schools and universities. The edicts of the Marjayiah, headed by (Grand Ayatollah) Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, and the calls of the politicians were like pouring water on the fire and contained the crisis. The unity of the Iraqis and the calls by leaders forced (the terrorists) to fail in igniting the sectarian war. The enemies of freedom could not destroy the will of the Iraqis, who understood the path to freedom and democracy. The terrorists had to live in their darkness instead. The Iraqis would never look back and would never forfeit their rights in having a free and democratic Iraq. Their choice was to build their new country that they would always defend.
