Officials Mull Fuel Price Reduction

Bahaa al-Araji, a member of parliament with the United Iraqi Alliance, has revealed plans to reduce the price of petroleum products. He said the Iraqi parliament and government would be preparing a plan to reduce prices on these items, which had previously been increased at the behest of donors as a condition for loans. Araji said that the price reductions would be introduced in the next two months and that the government would open new petrol stations – ten in Baghdad and one in every province.
