Kurdistan Alliance Sets Conditions

The Kurdistan Alliance has said it will not participate in the new government unless the four largest slates (including the Iraqi National List) also participate. Kurdistan Alliance member Mahmood Osman said the alliance is focusing on a vivid political program that works in the interest of the Iraqi people. He said the program does not marginalise any political entity, as occurred in the previous government and during the (drafting of the) constitution. He noted that (elected officials are) pressed for time in forming the new government and that Iraqis are suffering from many problems that need to be solved quickly.
