Senior Transportation Officials Jailed

Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

The special central criminal court that deals with integrity cases has handed prison terms to four senior officials from a state-owned naval company which works for the ministry of transport, according to Ali al-Shabboot, spokesman for the Iraqi public commission for integrity, a body that investigates corruption cases. He said the men were found guilty of wasting money and will each serve two years in prison.
