Baghdad is a daily newspaper issued by the Iraqi National Accord.
Industry and mines minister Osama Abdulaziz al-Najafi expressed hope that the new government might free Iraq from the current political crisis. He asked the government to adopt a unified political program that includes Iraqis from all groups. He said efficient and well-trained specialists should be appointed to top posts in order to successfully carry out their missions. He added that despite irregularities in the (December parliamentary) elections, it was an important event in Iraq's history.
